Observation Wheel, Southbank, Brisbane, Australia, November 2016.
Observation wheels seem to the one of the newer cultural obsessions. I guess we have London to thank for that. Since the introduction of the London Eye, I’ve notices wheels popping up all over the place. The Brisbane Wheel, which is located down in the tourist precinct of Southbank will always be a sentimental favourite. I was living in the city when it opened and have been on it a number of times. While Brisbane is not the most culturally diverse city in Australia, it is one of the most laid back and I think this attraction feels most at home here.
